What is "Interactive Design"?

The design is no longer inside the circle of focusing on the attractive visual looking, there are more duties for designers in this techonoloy era.
Interactive Design, is a contemporary design which explores the relationship between a interactive tools such as software and its purpose. The job of designers is to design a better way for audience to communicate their informations. Interaction designers are typically informed through iterative cycles of user research. They design with an emphasis on user goals and experience, and evaluate designs in terms of usability and affective influence.
